Molly is 36 weeks old today!
Stats: Her hair is getting lighter I think. It's almost dirty blonde. Crazy! Eyes are still dark brown, and she still only has her bottom 2 teeth.
Milestones: She is pulling up on things--Lord help us! We need to lower her crib and pack 'n play because she pulled up over the weekend and surprised us both!

She's also transitioning well from sitting to crawling, but can't go the opposite way. She is crawling EVERYWHERE and getting into everything! Scout is her partner in crime. They go everywhere together. They got in our closet and had a grand ol time taking all the shoes down.

I also set up my first barricade to keep her in the living room. My dad used to make these for me when I was a baby, but I'd always find a way through them. We'll see if Molly does the same!

ALSO--this is a big (not so great) development--she notices other babies getting picked up at daycare, and then gets REALLY mad that she's not getting attention, too. Oh lordy. This is probably thanks to her getting passed around all weekend long for Ryan's birthday. Hopefully she snaps out of that soon. It's just crazy to me that she's old enough to be jealous of other babies already!

On a brighter note, she's really good about imitating us. Whether it's clapping or doing our "fake laugh", she almost always reciprocates which is super fun!

Feeding: She had her first taste of lemon and mashed potatoes this weekend. Other than that, she's still eating the same stuff and having the same bottles every day.

Behavior: She is somewhat fussy in the evenings for whatever reason. I don't know if she's just tired from daycare, or what. I do think she was having a bad case of teething one night because she was INCONSOLABLE all evening. Poor thing.
But we've had some really fun moments, too. She LOOOOOVES getting thrown up in the air. She just laughs and laughs. She also loves it when we tickle her belly or under her chin. Her little laugh is just the cutest.

Favorite Moments: Ryan's birthday weekend was great, and she had a lot of fun with family and friends. We also took some great pictures.
Most Challenging: This new behavioral thing about wanting attention all the time. I know every parenting style is different, but we believe that it's healthy for babies to play alone sometimes as well as with other people/babies. But right now, she gets ANGRY if she sees anyone else in the room that's NOT giving her attention. Oye.

Looking Forward To: Celebrating Ryan's first fathers day! Should be a good one!

Happy 36 weeks, Molly girl!

Q is doing the same thing w/ the attention. She's fine by herself until she realizes someone is in the room and then she wants to be held or played with. Sometimes, I tell myself to sort of ignore her so she will be okay by herself. That sounds so bad, but if I talk to her, it's a reminder that I'm there and I can pick her up! :)
Molly is precious!
She is just too cute! And poor thing in her crying pic. So pitiful :(
Don't feel badly about teaching her that she will be just fine if she doesn't get attention 24/7. Babies that don't learn that from loving parents when they are young and impressionable, begin having anxiety issues when they get older.
As much as you hate seeing her cry, you are doing the right thing, Mommy! I promise that you will all survive this phase! :)
p.s. I miss u, and will be sending you 9mo and 12mo size clothes nxt month. Txt me or facebook me with what you need most. :)
