the power of photography

I know it's no secret, but I love pictures. I'm borderline obsessive compulsive about documenting our life, because I know my memory isn't the greatest, and I want to remember as much as possible. This sometimes has a negative effect because I start forgetting to actually be present rather than documenting. Thankfully, we have a wonderful photographer that lets us just be normal while also capturing amazing family moments. Katie took Molly's newborn, 6 month, 9 month and 14 month (originally meant to do 12 month but we kept having to postpone) pictures for us, and we'll be forever grateful.

I shared these on facebook, but I want to share here, too. We took Molly's 14-month photos in random rural field on an evening in early December, and they turned out so great. Hope you enjoy! :)

 girl on a mission :)
this photo is framed in my office, and i LOVE it.
 silly girl.
 ugh her cheeks kill me.

 weeeeee!
she looks a little frightened but i love the setting of this photo :)
gotta get one of us in there :)

 jeez, i love her.
a girl and her lambie. in the mouth. gross but cute.
my current facebook profile picture. just can't get over this face!

 she LOVES him.

this is framed on our mantle :)
this is one of my favorites. i don't know why. this is just such a classic Molly shot. seriously inspecting something she picked up.

this setting was kind of a last-minute thing. i love the sun!

i think this girl has gotten about a million kisses in her little life already. those cheeks just need them.

arguably my favorite shot. such a classic. they love playing together.

another favorite family shot that's framed on a shelf right now!

 love this.

her little hands just kill me. love this face!

I'm just so thankful for these photographs of our family. They really capture how truly blessed we are!

That picture of Molly in the last minute setting where she is standing alone and you can see her full body... she looks like she is doing a little jig! That's my favorite. TOO CUTE!!!
