It's very possible this was the best Valentine's day ever.
The days leading up to it were fun, too! I dressed Molly in either pink or red all week, just because I could :) As we were picking out Valentines at the store on Monday, little miss picked out a couple stuffed animals and immediately gave them "kisses" aka big slobbery kisses, thus marking them for life.
Tuesday continued the pink/heart theme.
Wednesday was "pink day" at daycare...easy enough.
That night I made Molly's daycare treats for her buddies. Chocolate covered marshmallows. I found my inspiration on pinterest and knew that would be easy/cheap to do! Sadly all stores were out of pink/red sprinkles so I found the closest thing (pink/red/yellow) and spent a good portion of the evening sorting them all out. RIDICULOUS.
I had a lot of fun making them though!
I didn't realize a) that I had written everyone's names upside down until I tied the tags on and b) OOPS these aren't really good for babies/toddlers to eat, and I PROBABLY should have made baby-friendly treats for, you know, DAYCARE. I guess I was taking care of all the parents by making these for them! haha oh well.
And then there was Thursday... VALENTINES DAY! Ryan got Molly dressed in her special V-day outfit, and we took lots of pictures (shocking I know). The night before, he set out our presents. He got me some pretty red roses, godiva chocolate, 2 cards and a CUTE little black Coach purse for fancy dates! I was SO PROUD of him for his fashion sense!
He got Molly a sweet little stuffed animal and a precious card. Love him.
I got him his annual jar of chocolate and some Russell Stovers too. I think he liked them :)
Isn't she cute in her outfit???
The day only got better from there!!! It started with coffee and donuts that my boss brought in.... YUM.
Then, I got a special treat..Ryan picked me up for lunch! We NEVER get to meet for lunch since he works pretty far away. So it was so special to see him! We ate at Mi Cocina and then walked down the street to get some chocolate covered strawberries and enjoy them by the little pond nearby! The weather was GORGEOUS, and it was such a romantic setting on a little bench together :)
When I got back to my desk later, I had a voicemail saying there was a delivery for me at the front desk!!!
Check these out! 2 dozen red roses just for me. I felt so special, and they looked great in my office too!
What a great day. When I picked up Molly later, I was shocked at how much stuff she got! Those daycare moms went all out and got all the kids some super cute stuff! I stole some of these pictures from the daycare's facebook page to show you. So adorable!
Who's that idiot mom that made treats the babies can't eat? Oh wait, that's me.
the whole loot at daycare from all the moms:
Super sweet treat bags from Tracy & Nate :)
They EVEN did precious little photo shoots of all the kids! Molly's was adorable!!!!
To compare, this was her last year...
It was a great day filled with lots of love!!!
